Part of the joy
of working at Imagesound is that we deliver globally, so we have friends all over the world!
In the East we've worked with Highlands Coffee, a cool Vietnamese coffee shop chain. Vietnamese/American David Thai founded Highlands Coffee in 1998, which was the first time an overseas Vietnamese was able to register a private company within Vietnam. There are now close to 100 cafes across Vietnam including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Vung Tau and Dong Nai.
The lovely people at HC needed our help with
standardising the music content throughout the growing chains. We worked together
with David, who himself is a lover of music, to design the perfect music profile. David likes to bring a more
western influence to Vietnam, so current playlists include plenty of
recognisable western pop, indie and rock, as well as a wide selection of global tracks.
We created designs to work for all the
different styles of the cafes; business, student and commercial. We went the extra
mile by visiting every single
one of the Highlands Coffee shops in Vietnam to compile reports on how to best go about installation.
With a base in Asia and staff that have lived there for years, we have a good feel for
Asian culture and ways of commerce. We thoroughly researched the brand before
creating a design and provided them with service and support. HC has now recommended us to their partners in
the Philippines. HC is happy, so we are happy. Exciting times for the Imagesound team!
